What video card should I purchase to play games like Mass Effect 2 on good settings?

I stopped playing PC games for a few years and I recently bought a new system. The system is great, but the only thing lacking is a great video card. The stock card it came with is an ATI Radeon HD 3200, and it simply does not play modern games. What card should I buy (decently priced) to play modern games like Mass Effect 2, and in the future Star Wars: The Old Republic, on good settings? By good settings I mean medium-high quality. What video card should I purchase to play games like Mass Effect 2 on good settings?
so the main question is how much you want to pay,

anyway,

NIVIDIA Series:

GTX 250 is very nice %26amp; efficient.based on GDDR3 memory.but it's still very nice.

if you can wait a little more there will be new NIVIDIA Series based on GDDR5 Memories (GTX400 Series)%26amp; also new Technology, wait a little more.

ATI Radeon Series:

HD 5750 %26amp; HD 5770 are nice either, %26amp; 5770 is better than 4870,they have the same performance but new 5000 series create less heat %26amp; ATI series create more Heat in comparison with NIVIDIA Series_just for notice_.

enjoy your gaming Dude.
