What do you think about Mass Effect?

Mass effect is a video game (Yes I know there's a video game section. Bare with me)



Okay so Mass effect is a video game where an Intelligent life existed billions of years ago but died out leaving behind this massive city in space. I'm not going to get into the details of the game cause it isn't important.



The universe is 13.7 billion years old. It's possible the planets began forming around stars after the first one hundred million years or so. That's basically 13 billion years of evolution somewhere.Alright so let be save and say a earth like planet formed somewhere in the universe one billion years after the big bang. The planet evolved life and died within two billion years. The details od there demise isn't important. Say a strange virus spread are kills all life so all that left is the massive city in space that they've built.



Here's my question. Can a unnatural structure last several billion years in space intact? (there are no collisions or explosions)What do you think about Mass Effect?
that depends on the elements that exist in the environment and the material the buildings were built with, which can cause deterioration/erosion of the buildings. so to answer your question, yes they could.
