The only thing that I do not know if I meet the requirements for is my video card which is a quadro FX 770M and it says it requires Geforce 6800GT or better for min and Geforce 7900 GT and better for recommended.Can I play Mass Effect 1 with my laptop?

it's safe, you're going to get security warnings but it's safe. it scans your hardware to see if you can run the game you select or not. It gives you a detailed report when the scan is done.
