Is Mass Effect 2 anything like the game Fracture?

I was thinking of getting Mass Effect 2, but after seeing both the cover of the game and a few videos on youtube, it looks similar to Fracture. I got Fracture for free when i bought my Xbox 360 and I absolutely hated that game. Are they similar, or is it just that they are both 3rd person? Is Mass Effect 2 anything like the game Fracture?
No mass effect 2 is nothing like fracture , mass effect 2 is a rpg its strongly story based and exploration based the game has over 100 planets to explore and is 2 discs long because how much data is present .

This is the one thing i hate to see people do , get mass effect 2 without playing the first one , all your choises and decisions , endings , girlfriends and save data will carry over from part 1 meaning its a truly unique expierience playing 1 and 2 having whatever ending you got come over then talking to your friend and he carrys his game over but got a different ending , then you 2 had a different experience then each other . Mass effect 1 was so strong at making the littlest thing you do change everything that everyone whos owned it has beat it at least 2 times if not more to get different outcomes . And messing up on something in it is fun because you load a save go back and end up with a completly different event

I beat mass effect 5 times 1 as female 4 as male and each time was different , so if i played mass effect 2 with each of my characters the games would start different

Bottomline i say buy mass effect 1 play it , beat it and have that data carry over so you see how it impacts mass effect 2 , i own both and if you play 2 without 1 your missing out on something truly unique ,Is Mass Effect 2 anything like the game Fracture?
No, definitely not! Well actually I haven't played Mass Effect 2, but I have Mass Effect 1, and it isn't just a 3rd person shooter like Fracture. Both Mass Effect games are RPGs and there is much more to them than shooting, such as exploring planets, completing side quests, and plenty of conversations (which actually influence the story, which is very good by the way).

But anyway, to make a long story short, they're completely different types of games (and also Fracture sucks for anyone while Mass Effect is awesome if you like RPGs at all).
