In the video game Mass Effect, will action pick up? ?

I started playing Mass Effect a week or so ago, and finally I am able to get off the Citadel and go check out some planets... I'm hoping the action picks up because there is so many hours of conversation that I'm starting to get bored with the game.

Will the action pick up, or am I doomed to hours more of conversation everytime I want to go to a planet or do something action oriented?

I love the game, but too much conversation makes it kinda boring. In the video game Mass Effect, will action pick up? ?
If you go straight through the story it's more or less like the first planet you fought through, but you're free to do as many side missions and visit as many planets as you want before following the main quest line, side missions typically involve less talking and more fighting.

There are still a lot of conversations throughout, BioWare likes to create stories and characters that the player actually interacts with instead of straight out cut scenes.

If the story is of no interest to you, you'd probably have more fun with a different game, the gameplay is mediocre, it's the story that makes the game worth playing. In the video game Mass Effect, will action pick up? ?
it depends on your choices you make in the game.
