No, how this works is the three romance options:
Kaiden - Female romance option
Ashley - Male/Female romance option
Liara - Male/Female romance option
Liara is Asari (An all female race) which means they could be considered without gender, in the eyes of fellow Asari.
Unfortunately, there is no male-male relationship that can be achieved with Shepard and Kaiden.
